Southern Utah Guided Overland Trip

Embarking on a guided overland travel experience through Southern Utah, you find yourself surrounded by breathtaking landscapes that seem almost otherworldly. As you navigate the rugged terrain of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, the layers of colorful rock formations tell a geological story millions of years in the making. The vibrant red cliffs and sweeping vistas create an awe-inspiring backdrop, perfect for photography and exploration. Along the journey, a stop in Kanab reveals a charming town with a rich history, where you can learn about the Old West and perhaps catch a glimpse of the iconic red rock formations that have served as a backdrop for countless films. Each day brings new adventures, from hiking slot canyons to stargazing under the vast, unpolluted night sky, making this an unforgettable experience in one of America's most stunning regions.

The Route

Traversing the iconic scenery of Southern Utah from Kanab to Lake Powell we'll stop along the way to check out renowned rock formations and cultural sites. Expect to spend 4-6 hours a day behind the wheel and a couple of hours site seeing outside the vehicle along the way.

Start and Finish

If you're driving your own vehicle we'll be meeting you in Kanab, UT at 9:30am for our first day. If you're renting one of our vehicles we'll meet you at our shop in Fruita, CO at 3pm the day before our trip begins. Our guided trip will end at Halls Crossing at Lake Powell. Renters will return to Fruita, CO with us and those in their own rigs may depart for home.

What To Bring

Everyone will need to bring appropriate clothing quality closed toed shoes for hiking and spending time in the elements. Though we'll be in area that sees around 10 inches of precipitation a year, bringing a rain jacket is a must. Desert nights can be chilly and the days can be extremely hot. Food is not provided for this trip so please bring plenty of groceries and water. We will have extra water onboard as well.

Cancellations

This trip requires a non-refundable deposit. Our trips happen rain or shine and you can not cancel do to weather. We may cancel a trip if we believe current conditions present a safety concern for guests and vehicles. After the remaining balance of your trip is charged you may recieve a return of that balance until 14 days before the trip begins. We will make every effort to reschedule and accomodate any unexpected changes to your plan if possible.
